The Local Authority holds all waiting lists for places that may become available throughout the year. Any child not offered a place will be placed on the waiting list.

If you have been informed by Bexley Admissions that your child has been allocated a place at Burnt Oak Junior School, you will be contacted by the school and invited to visit with your child. Parents will be given an application pack to complete and offered the opportunity to visit the school. Once all the relevant documentation has been received you will be given a date for your child to join us at Burnt Oak Junior School.

Appeals

Please click here to take you to our policies page where you can find out more information on appealing if you are unsuccessful in securing a place at Burnt Oak Junior School.

Related documents can also be found at the bottom of this page.

Parents of children not offered places will also be informed of the appeals procedure.  Parents have a statutory right to appeal in the event of Bexley admissions’ decision not to offer a place. Although Bexley is the admissions authority, an independent panel considers appeals and their decision is binding on both parties.

There are two grounds on which appeal at Burnt Oak Junior School may be considered. You will need to evidence the grounds you believe applies in your case on the appeal form and return to the school.

Please contact the school if you require further information and to book a tour of the school
